Four Leaf Clovers
Elizabeth Stephens
My favourite page was my four leaf clover collection. The clovers on this page aren’t even all the ones I found during this time period, they’re just the ones I remembered to take pictures of!
Since I was about 10, I’ve been able to find four leaf clovers pretty much everywhere I go. I even developed an instinct of sorts that allows me to very accurately guess whether a clover patch will have four leaf clovers or not. When I was younger, I could expect to find well over 150 per year.
I have found them in Alaska, Vancouver, Victoria, Southern Ontario, Quebec, the Maritimes, Ireland, and Japan. I don’t usually actively look for them anymore, but I still find them when I’m simply walking around and happen to glance at the ground.
My friends have stopped being impressed by this ability, but it’s a fun trick that I can pull out when I meet new people!
